Supporting the Places We Love

Our 2025 1% for the Planet Recertification

We’ve been a certified member of 1% for the Planet since 2021, and we’ve just completed our 2025 certification.

That matters to us for one simple reason: it keeps us accountable.

1% For The Planet Logo

1% for the Planet isn’t just a logo. It’s a commitment to support environmental organizations doing real work, with verification behind it. It’s one way we make sure this business gives back to the places that make it possible.

When you shop with Camp Catskill, you help support these organizations.

Here’s where our 2025 giving went:

2025 Donations

Catskill Center

Because their work directly supports stewardship, advocacy, and responsible recreation in the Catskills we call home.
They protect forests and waterways, support trail projects, and help ensure this region remains both accessible and preserved.

New York-New Jersey Trail Conference

Because trail maintenance and stewardship directly affect the hiking experience for our customers.
They build, maintain, and protect more than 2,100 miles of public trails, powered largely by volunteers.

Highlands Trail Crew - NYNJ Trail Conference

The Conservation Alliance

Because our nation’s public lands are under more pressure than ever.
They fund and advocate for the protection of wild places across North America.

Wild Earth Wilderness School

Because early experiences in nature help shape the next generation of conservation leaders.
They provide nature-based education, camps, and wilderness programs rooted in hands-on learning.

Kids participating in Wild Earth Wilderness School

Woodstock Land Conservancy

Because conservation starts in our own backyards.
They protect open land, forests, and natural resources throughout the Catskills and Hudson Valley.

John Burroughs Woodchuck Lodge

Because the history of the Catskills still has something to teach us.
They preserve the home of John Burroughs, whose writing helped people understand the value of the natural world.

Why This Matters

Camp Catskill exists because of this place.

The trails, the forests, the quiet moments that bring people here in the first place. None of that continues by accident. It takes ongoing work to protect, maintain, and advocate for it.

Being part of 1% for the Planet is one way we contribute to that.

And when you support Camp Catskill, you’re part of it too.
