Responsibility

In addition to becoming the best little outdoor shop in Upstate New York, we feel a strong responsibility:

1. To mindfully choose products made with sustainable, durable and often recycled materials. We've also pledged 1% of our revenues to environmental conservation through 1% for the Planet, and we'll keep pushing ourselves to do better.

2. To support greater access to nature for everyone who wants to explore it. Public lands should be enjoyed by all. That's part of why we volunteer with the Hunter Area Trail Committee, which works on the Hunter Regional Trails: a network of flat, old railroad beds near the shop that almost anyone can walk.

3. To build community around spending time outdoors. We want to learn from each other and teach each other how to protect the public lands and wild spaces we hold so dear. Come visit us at our store in Tannersville, NY. We can't wait to meet you.
